As the MFW meswear shows wrap, we’ve put together the stand-out looks to get you inspired & ahead of the game Dapper Street-style.
Italian super duo Dolce & Gabbana showcased an impressive blend of the East Orient meets Contemporary West. Intricate bird & floral motiffs on silks were paired with distressed denim and espadrilles, conveying a smart, new cosmopolitan, urban-cool man. Key pieces still include the Bomber jacket, crystal embroidered denim.

Donatella’s Versace man was bold and arrogant as ever, Inspired by Lawrence of Arabia’s ‘No Man Needs Nothing’ tagline. Chino boy-style shorts were paired with oversized, boxy jackets. Longline shirts gave a punch of attitude creating a muscular aesthetic alongside hard warrior style headwear and vibrant prints. Tough military hues contrasted with lavish purples screaming confidence and osterity.
The Gucci man was feminine and geek-chic with a heavy spritz of 70’s kitch. The brand’s staple oversized glasses & buttoned up (with flowers and lace of course) collars. House on the Prairie style embroidery featured across the board. Pinnicle pieces include Silk loungewear bringing to mind Hugh Hefner as well as the flowery, red tracksuit.
The Emporio Armani show was a stark contrast- powerfully subdued; proving he’s the most italian of designers with a strong colour palette and uber-cool mood. Dark blues, black & grey alongside a mint green catwalk gave the collection a fresh & futuristic feel. Silhouettes were slouchy with wide pants and large jacket shapes. Mirrored sunglasses and luxe trainers gave a trendy vibe against suiting, also could the beret be making a come back?
The queen of punk come romantic Dame Vivienne Westwood created an entirley authentic, emotively charged protest against environmental crime. A destruction of the human race and landscape alongside an obvious finger to bankers was prevalent with slashed suiting, animal print and earthy colours. Hippy prints and tribal patterns conveyed the climate’s deteriortion. Key pieces include casual chinos and brogues as well as Floral embellished sandals, ripped vests and tanga swim trunks!
