From actors and chart-toppers to sports and businessmen; here’s who us lot at Dapper Street think have earned a place in 2014’s list. 2014 was the year men were no longer overshadowed. Men’s fashion came side by side with women’s grooming and trends. British style still reined, with a love of individuality and old fashioned wit, alongside a somewhat different approach! With this much to offer who knows what lies ahead for fashion in 2015!

David Gandy

Possessing an elegance like no other, whether casual or polished, with key pieces from a pocket square to suede fendora, Gandy’s the modern day city-slicker. Now 34, a walking advert for the perfect Savile-Row; demonstrating that the suit can be a pinnacle of cool without looking stuffy. Although the M&S Underwear ads may be a little full on- Gandy and his ripped bod sprawled about- it’s refreshing to see masculinity back in modelling.

Pharrell Williams

With the release of G I R L , Despicable me and his unique and risky style choices, you can’t underestimate his force in the business and fashion world. Showing that age doesn’t matter (How old again?), he’s the ulimate in alternative dressing via THAT statement hat and bold use of colour. We look forward to seeing what 2015 holds for the king of youthful-cool.

Tinie Tempah

Since storming into the charts in 2010, Tinie’s success has soared across the industries with the widest of grins. His trademark glasses and tailor made red carpet suits have paved his way into the limelight. A clever risk taker who always embodies an urban-sophistication by combining key pieces alongside the urban music scene. There’s no doubt this star will go from strength to strengtha symbol of a new generation fusing a modern street & ever flailing gentlemanly charm. The evidence is already there- having taken over from Nick Grimshaw as Male Ambassador for Fashion Week.

Eddie Redmayne

This young Brit caught our attention in Burberry’s campaign alongside It-model Cara Delevingne . Star of the new Stephan Hawking Biopic, sporting all over blue & brit inspired ensembles (this year’s must-haves?) Redmyne’s has become a popular face on the fashion scene. His friendly appeal has been proved by his riskaaay outfits from a loud plaid or seersucker two piece! He’s got old schoolboy charm to a T!

David Beckham

Whether in a t-shirt and jeans or fully suited Beckham is still the most recognised as a fashion icon. 2014 saw him conquer starting with H&M’s semi-naked ads, he then became the face of Belstaff and was on the small screen biking ‘Into The Unknown’. Not saying much but never the less always immaculate.

Oliver Proudlock

By combining Streetwear and Chelsea dapper charm (with a hell of a lotta expensive bling) It’s always interesting to see what MIC’s Proudlock comes up with. Whether you’re a fan or not it’s hard to dispute his unique, forward-thinking style- influencing his own line, Serge Denimes which came into it’s own last year.

Harry Styles

Love’im of hate’im, Styles was one of the forerunners in 2014’s most stylish. With his Mick Jagegr inspired wardrobe choices from his headwear, to eccentric pairings like patterned skinnys and shiny suit blazers. Plus the effortless quiff or tattoo collection- although seeming more is more- there’s not doubt Harry has nailed it. With the media-frenzy surrounding this chap it’s hard to believe he belongs in a band that came third in X Factor!  Pairing key Luxurious pieces like a Burberry Trench, to a scruffy shirt (belonging to one of his many love-interests?!) the guy sure wears it well.

Here’s to an equally dapper 2015 chaps!
